IMX 2015

My passion for diverse cultures, languages and international business led me to ESB, where I graduated with a Bachelor in International Management (IMX). Studying at ESB encouraged me to pursue life-long learning and reach for ambitious goals, together with and inspired by friends and ESB alumni. During my studies, I particularly enjoyed the open, very active and forward-thinking dynamics in the classroom as well as the ESB spirit and unforgettable memories with new life-long friends outside the classroom. My willingness to share my own marvellous experiences at ESB as well as stories about activities and experiences of ESB alumni and students, got me engaged at Europolitan and as Stammtisch coordinator. In my consecutive studies and while travelling, I realised that not many alumni networks are as active and encouraging as the ESB alumni network. Not only did I meet up with ESB friends, got travel and social engagement inspiration, but I also gained valuable tips and support from the alumni network regarding jobs, work experiences and work life. My motivation is to support the ESB alumni association to sustain and foster this existing international network and the ESB spirit, (re-)connecting ESB alumni and students and ESB friends worldwide and to share their stories and experiences.

After my bachelor's degree in International Logistics Management at ESB Business School and a master program in International Management I started my career at an international lean management consulting company.
My motivation to engage as a board member, particularly recruiting, at ESB Alumni e.V. is that I want to increase the number of WING students in our association. I am convinced that all students can benefit from one of the largest alumni networks in Germany. With our events and regular tables we connect alumni with students.

When I started studying at ESB Business School I was very surprised by the community-like atmosphere, something I hadn't experienced in law school where you typically have 300 students per year. While I was studying at ESB, I met a few alumni, so when I got my first job with the MBA degree and was moving to a mid-size German town, it was natural to look out for other alumni in the area and I have met so many of them in all the places I worked in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. My motivation is to make the international network stronger. That's why I work as an editor for the Europolitan to discover all the brilliant careers and companies where our alumni are and make them known in our network.

I’ve always been connecting with other students on a day to day basis to strengthen the unique ESB-Spirit. During my time organising the IBWE 2018 in Germany I was in contact with fellow students and always received a great willingness to support each other. My experience with ESB was amazing, therefore I want to contribute what I possibly can to the alumni community. I’m looking forward to constantly enlarge the ESB alumni e.V. network.

Looking back at my time at ESB, it has certainly been one of the most exciting and rewarding time periods. Participating in a broad range of initiatives, ranging from WHU Euromasters to the National Model United Nations, I met many inspiring fellow students and made some of my best friends. Through my engagement with ESB alumni, I would like to work towards maintaining these connections, creating new ones and contributing to the unique environment at ESB.

Seize opportunities. Why should anyone miss the opportunity to stay in touch with people who had a memorable and instructive time at ESB? As a former WING student, I learned how to combine production with management. Now I will take the opportunity to combine the expertise of former students with the experiences of future graduates and thus create an even more fascinating network. My motivation to optimize what already exists comes mainly from my job as a Lean Consultant. There is something even better in every company and this applies to both students and the Alumni Association. Together with all ESB students, the WING students form the basis and this is to be expanded further.

As I had very inspirational experiences with several alumni during my studies already and after organizing the (obviously best ever) International Business Weekend 2008 in Ireland with one of the most amazing Oldboy crowds imaginable, I decided to engage myself actively as a part of the ESB Alumni e.V. I started by supporting IBWEs as well as other events and today coordinate various activities across the ESB Alumni community.

My motivation for engagement is to maintain and further extend our great network across the globe, fueled by our unique ESB and Alumni spirit.

I am currently studying M.Sc. International Business Development. From day 1, social engagement is not just empty talk at ESB, it is truly embodied on campus. After the first weeks as a member of the ESB team, I am impressed by how ambitious people who work on one project are- make ESB Alumni e.V. better each day. This platform is not only an outstanding opportunity for former students, but also for student on campus like me. For one thing, contributing valuable ideas to the ESB team and for another, getting in touch with alumni and building up a sustainable network, convinced me to actively engage myself. I am supporting the student services to organize great events and work on new projects.

„Living the spirit to the fullest during my time in Reutlingen was definitely what I enjoyed the most about ESB. Today, more than ever I highliy appreciate meeting fellow ESB Alumni and current students. This is also why I highly enjoy working with the Alumni Resort on campus.

After finishing my Masters I started working as Sales representative in a start up in Berlin. Not only in my job I realise more and more that having good friends and people with a good network is worth so much more than good Excel and PowerPoint skills. So go out, meet people who eventually become friends and enjoy yourselfs. And never forget, the currency of networking is not greed but generosity.“

For me, ESB was more than just studies - it was a place to get engaged, meet interesting fellow students, get inspired by ESB Alumni, and live through meaningful experiences.
Alumni are an integral part of the experience as they often serve as role models for active students to share insights and career paths but also help out with personal development, lectures etc..

At ESB Alumni e.V., I want to give back to the school and students while enjoying the company of engaged alumni.

MBA Part-Time 2018

After finishing my aerospace engineering studies in Stuttgart and starting to work as a research assistant, I also began my current part-time MBA program at ESB. In my function within the board of the ESB Alumni association I am the contact point for member networking and member coaching. Additionally, I contribute to the mission and vision statements of the association.
The ESB Alumni association offers me the opportunity to connect with interesting people who evolve themselves and their network continually – something I like to do very much.
